Job description

Join the SBH Foods Popeyes team as a Restaurant General Manager and lead a restaurant, a team, and a business you can be proud of.

As the senior leader in the restaurant, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day operation — from guest experience and food quality to staffing, training, scheduling, inventory, and restaurant performance.

You'll build and develop your team, set expectations, solve problems, and create an environment where great people can do great work.

We're looking for a hands-on restaurant leader who can balance people, operations, and results while delivering the Popeyes experience our guests expect.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses
  • Paid time off and flexible scheduling for work-life balance
  • Monthly car allowance of $250
  • Employee discount and referral program
  • Comprehensive paid training and ongoing leadership development
  • Opportunities for career advancement into multi-unit and area leadership roles

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily restaurant operations ensuring top-notch food quality, guest service, and cleanliness
  • Build, coach, and develop a motivated and enthusiastic team to achieve outstanding results
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, and restaurant performance with strong organizational skills
  • Create a positive and fun work environment where great people can do great work
  • Handle guest concerns promptly to maintain excellent guest satisfaction

Who You Are

  • At least 18 years old with previous restaurant management or leadership experience
  • A strong communicator with excellent people-development and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable making quick decisions in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage restaurant performance effectively
  • Willing to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Committed to integrity, teamwork, and supporting Popeyes’ Cajun hospitality culture

Build Great People. Build a Great Restaurant.

At SBH Foods, being a General Manager is about more than running a restaurant.

Our General Managers are expected to develop the next generation of leaders. You'll coach your team, identify potential, and help Crew Members, Shift Leaders, Assistant Restaurant Managers, and Kitchen Managers build their skills and prepare for what's next.

And there's a path forward for you, too.

Crew → Shift Leader → Kitchen Manager → Assistant Restaurant Manager → Restaurant General Manager → Area Leadership

Strong General Managers can continue developing toward Area Regional Leader, taking what they've learned running one successful restaurant and using it to support multiple restaurants and their leaders.

Earn More When Your Restaurant Wins

Restaurant General Managers are eligible for SBH Foods' performance-based store bonus program, with opportunities to earn additional compensation every four weeks when qualifying restaurant performance goals are achieved.

General Managers at designated Training Stores are eligible for an enhanced bonus in ecognition of the additional responsibility of developing incoming SBH Foods leaders.

SBH Foods also recognizes strong General Managers who take on designated restaurant turnaround assignments with additional performance-based earning opportunities.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand and move throughout the restaurant for extended periods
  • Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Bend, reach, lift, carry, and perform physical restaurant responsibilities as needed
  • Work across restaurant stations and support food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and guest service
  • Safely perform the physical tasks necessary to support restaurant operations

SBH Foods is a Popeyes franchisee and an equal opportunity employer. We make employment decisions based on qualifications, skills, experience, and business needs and encourage all qualified applicants to apply.

Big flavor. Real hospitality. A place to grow.
Popeyes has been serving bold, Louisiana-inspired food since 1972. What started with one restaurant and one big idea has grown into a globally recognized brand known for its unmistakable flavor, Cajun hospitality, and food people genuinely crave.
At SBH Foods, we’re proud to be part of that story.
We own and operate Popeyes restaurants with a simple belief: great restaurants are built by great people. That means serving delicious food, taking care of our guests, supporting one another, and creating an environment where team members can learn, grow, and build something meaningful.
Development is a big part of how we operate. We believe in coaching our people, promoting from within, and giving team members the opportunity to take on more when they’re ready.
Whether you’re joining us for your first job, your next leadership opportunity, or a career you want to keep building, there’s a place for you at SBH Foods.
Come bring your energy, grow your skills, and help us build something great.
