We're Hiring! Join Our Team as a Rest Area Supervisor
Location: Las Cruces, NM (Ft. Selden Rest Area)
Pay: $16.50/hour
Schedule: Days and hours may Vary
Closing Date: Open Until Filled


Position Overview:

Are you a dependable leader who thrives outdoors and enjoys hands-on work? Tresco, Inc. is seeking a Rest Area Supervisor to oversee operations and lead the janitorial and groundskeeping team at our Ft. Seldon Rest Areas. If you take pride in keeping public spaces safe, clean, and welcoming—this is the opportunity for you!


What You’ll Do:

Supervise and mentor rest area employees to build a skilled, reliable team
Lead by example—work side-by-side with your crew on cleaning and maintenance tasks
Schedule and conduct on-the-job training and orientation for new team members
Coordinate with Highway Supervisors and Leads on daily operations
Fill in and support staff during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Perform and oversee grounds/janitorial duties such as:

Restocking restrooms

Cleaning shelters, benches, and outdoor fountains

Supervise and mentor rest area employees to build a skilled, reliable team
Lead by example—work side-by-side with your crew on cleaning and maintenance tasks
Schedule and conduct on-the-job training and orientation for new team members
Coordinate with Highway Supervisors and Leads on daily operations
Fill in and support staff during evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Perform and oversee grounds/janitorial duties such as:

Trash/litter pickup and curb maintenance
Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) for scheduling and reporting
Conduct routine maintenance: flag display, air filter cleaning, septic tank stirring, minor repairs
Ensure employee training completion using on-site tablets


Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
1 or more year of experience in maintenance, supervision, or janitorial and landscaping
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to pass a background check, MVR, and post-offer drug screening
Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities
