What is a manager remote outsourcing?

Manager Remote Outsourcing roles involve overseeing the process of hiring and managing third-party vendors or remote teams to handle specific business functions or projects. These managers coordinate communication, ensure quality standards are met, and manage contracts and relationships with outsourcing partners, often across different time zones and cultures. Their goal is to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure that outsourced work aligns with the company’s objectives. This role often requires strong project management, communication, and negotiation skills.

A Manager Remote Outsourcing typically uses a combination of project management tools, regular virtual meetings, and clear communication protocols to collaborate with teams in various locations. They often establish overlapping work hours for critical meetings and utilize asynchronous updates to keep everyone aligned. Successfully navigating time zone differences requires proactive planning and flexibility to ensure that deadlines are met and team members feel supported, regardless of their location.

Job description

Build Anything.
We're the engineering team trusted by the world's largest eCommerce and DTC brands. Our mission is to transform our clients’ businesses, drive growth, and build the highest-scaling and most complex experiences online today.
Our team is composed of vibrant, resourceful, and entrepreneurial people in front-end, full-stack, technical and project operations roles. At SDG we focus on building a culture that allows everyone to create meaningful and impactful work for our team and our clients’ businesses. Our people are the most valuable assets to this culture. As such, we offer a flexible time off schedule, excellent benefits, a collaborative work environment (as well as permanent remote options), and plenty of opportunity for career growth.
We believe in hiring people, not outsourcing and are committed to growing the best team in this space. We're a close knit crew that highly values strong teamwork, initiative, and quality.
Who You Are.
You are comfortable navigating ambiguity but at the same time, you’re detailed and process-oriented with an inclination to standardization and automation. You enjoy hands-on work, you're self-motivated with a sense of humor, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be responsible for.
  • Manage the client relationship by overseeing everything from status calls to solution walkthroughs, feature training, and strategy sessions.
  • Maintain timelines for regular client support requests. Responsible for client delivery.
  • Partner with clients to understand their goals, objectives and grow their business.
  • Contribute to the product feedback loop, providing requirements to Product and Engineering on how feedback should be incorporated into the requested feature.
  • Identify areas for increased efficiency, from processes to frameworks and automated tools, operating under the belief that if you do something twice, you can find a more efficient approach.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to provide requirements on new feature requests.
Requirements.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Operations, product management, project management or client relations experience.
  • Self-directed learning style; naturally operate with an execution mindset and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, with the desire to implement process and standardize as you go.
  • Detail and deadline oriented.
  • Responsible, reliable, and flexible.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Shopify/eCommerce experience is a plus.
Details.
  • Fully Paid Medical, Dental & Vision.
  • 401k Retirement Plan.
  • Work From Home/Anywhere.
  • Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • This is a full-time position.
  • We are a fully remote team and deeply respect and value work-life balance.
  • This position is open to candidates in the United States and Canada only.
