The Regional Contract Manager has responsibility for working with the Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) sales organization to develop and implement regional and local based contracts that support Medtronic CST strategies and objectives. The primary responsibility will be to work with the sales and sales leadership team to develop strategies and tactics that support revenue and market share growth in regional Integrated Distribution Networks (IDN), and independent hospitals. Conduct other financial and operational analysis to support contracting strategies as needed. The Contract Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. This role requires a keen understanding of market dynamics to effectively negotiate terms and conditions. Additionally, this position will involve monitoring contract performance metrics and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to drive operational efficiencies and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide comprehensive business reviews, enable programs and contracts to drive revenue, monitoring pricing integrity and protecting margin will be key responsibilities.

  • Develop and implement regional contract strategies for local hospitals and Integrated Distribution Networks (IDN) that are consistent with corporate objectives and support the region corporate sales strategies.

  • Execute and monitor negotiated contracts from implementation to expiration to ensure accurate invoicing.

  • Support Customer Care, Credit Financial Services and other organizations to resolve pricing discrepancies and other related issues.

  • Support the contracting needs of the geographical assigned region/s. This includes executing on pricing strategies, strategy development in response to customer pricing requests and complying with the price governance process. Complete hospital requests in a timely manner in accordance with Medtronic pricing strategies, terms, and conditions.

  • Provide robust and accurate pricing analysis. Negotiate pricing under parameters as set forth by management in conjunction with Sales, Legal and Marketing. Provide rationale behind pricing approvals to help facilitate positive outcomes in pricing discussions.

  • Support quarterly business reviews (for both internal and external customers) with local sales teams as needed. Participate in cross-functional teams to develop strategy and tactics for key business initiatives across different functional areas.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel Spreadsheets, Smartsheets, Power Bi and SAP.

  • Experience creating Excel documents, including spreadsheets, formulas, charts, graphs, and functions.

  • Experience in sales, marketing, purchasing, healthcare or related areas

  • Knowledge of contract law

  • Proven ability to operate in a matrixed marketing environment and work effectively with sales

  • Proven ability to build and facilitate strong, productive working relationships with a wide variety of crossfunctional teams and customer contacts.

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems with minimal direction and make decisions with confidence.
