Department OverviewThe Senior Presales Project Management Group is the focal point of the Sales support organization. Our Senior Presales Business Managers bring together the innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. The Senior Presales Business Manager is expected to lead and manage complex customer requests for quotes across a wide range of customers including Statewide, Regional, County, and City level public safety jurisdictions.
Job Description

The Senior Presales Business Manager will manage the development and implementation of the presale process for public safety solutions. The Senior Presales Business Manager provides total presales solution ownership as the overall presale team business leader and manages the overall project business for their assigned projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for video process improvements and coordinating with Service, Systems Integration and Sales

  • Conduct customer facing technical requirements discovery sessions for estimation and configuration (conference call or in person)

  • Development of the system design, implementation approach, and service plan necessary to win the award

  • Meet/exceed customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be met

  • Manage to Motorola's profitability goals

  • Drive all sole source & RFP (Request for Proposal) projects to completion managing the schedules of each project team member (engineering, proposal specialist, sales, service, SI)

  • Develop trusted relationships with work partners and customers

  • Conduct internal and external presentations

  • Assist Sales and Customer with specific market strategies

  • Develop overall system design strategy, implementation approach, service strategy and proposal plan

  • Manage the development and implementation of the entire presale process focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals.

  • Issue RFQs (Request for Quote) for third-party content and negotiate for best cost-benefit to MSI

  • Develop and Drive consistent Systems Integration & Services strategy for all proposals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degreewith 6+ years experience in Sales, Sales Engineering, Project Management, Project Management, Customer Success

  • OR 10+ years experience in Sales, Sales Engineering, Project Management, Project Management, Customer Success

  • This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

  • Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences

  • Self-motivated individual who will take ownership of projects to drive multiple people to meet project deadlines.

  • Experience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies

  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset

  • Need to be comfortable working in a team environment and understand the contractual obligations as well as personal responsibilities

  • Must be able to function effectively in a fast paced demanding environment that usually requires the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously

Location/Travel:

  • Preferred candidates will live in the West or Midwest

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time

Target Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000 USD
