As we continue to grow our business and enhance our service offerings locally, we are eagerly seeking a highly motivated Municipal Project manager to join our Calgary team. 

In this role, you will have the ability to collaborate seamlessly with EXP's multidisciplinary team from across our four (4) Western Canadian offices on some of region's most exciting infrastructure projects! If desired, you will also be given the opportunity to work on some very unique and challenging projects from across North America.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the planning, design, and construction management of civil/municipal infrastructure projects involving site grading, site development, street reconstruction, water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, parking, and active transportation.
  • Preparing construction specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
  • Managing project budgets and schedules.
  • Engaging with a variety of stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, operations staff, utilities, businesses, and the public. 
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior staff.
  • Collaborating with a multidiscipline project team.
  • Ensuring that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA and the ability to register in other Western Canadian Provinces.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience. 
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proven success in municipal projects and familiarity with municipal and provincial standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong client relationship management and political awareness.  Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal working relationships with the pool of potential clients is an asset.
  • Ability to integrate climate resilience and sustainability into municipal designs.
