Job description

Position Title: Manager, Project Delivery

Department: Project Delivery

Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Reports to: Vice President, Technical & Well Services

Role Description

Eavor Technologies Inc. is seeking a high-performing, strategically minded Manager, Project Delivery to lead our growing Technical Services team. As a technology licensor, Eavor partners with leading energy developers, utilities, and investors worldwide to deploy Eavor-Loop™ projects. In this client-facing leadership role, you will serve as a key technical and advisory link between Eavor and its development partners, helping advance projects from initial screening and feasibility through project sanction and execution handoff.

Reporting to the Vice President, Technical & Well Services, you will lead a team of Project Managers and Project Engineers responsible for providing technical development support to Eavor's global network of development partners and strategic clients.

The successful candidate will establish departmental priorities, oversee financial performance, and serve as a senior technical representative in both internal and client-facing environments - sitting at the intersection of technology licensing, project development advisory, engineering economics, and people leadership.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of Eavor's development support engagements with partners - from initial technology scoping and feasibility through to project sanction support and execution handoff
  • Champion the use of consistent PM tools, artifacts, and methodologies across the team - aligned with industry best practices (e.g., PMI/PMBOK), while ensuring robust engagement closeout practices such as after-action reviews and lessons-learned documentation
  • Maintain upward visibility on partner engagement portfolio status, providing regular internal reporting on schedule performance, budget variance, and risk exposure, and escalating issues to executive leadership as needed
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Geoscience, Engineering, Senior Leadership and Commercial teams to ensure partner support plans are well-integrated, appropriately resourced, and executed to a high standard

Techno-Economics, Financial Modelling & Project Economics

  • Own and continuously improve Eavor's suite of techno-economic models, ensuring they reflect current engineering assumptions, market inputs, and technology performance parameters - including governing the standardization of inputs and maintaining a controlled assumptions register across all partner projects
  • Lead the evaluation of multiple development scenarios for partner projects including sensitivity analysis, risk-adjusted economics, and scenario modelling across a range of project structures, equity arrangements, and debt financing frameworks
  • Translate complex technical and economic data into clear, compelling narratives that support partner investment decisions, project approvals, and financing discussions

Proposal Writing & Cost Estimating

  • Lead the preparation of high-quality technical proposals, technology scoping packages, and cost estimates - building and maintaining a proposal library, cost benchmarking database, and estimating tools that enable the team to efficiently and consistently deliver on future requests
  • Direct the assembly and quality review of all partner-facing technical deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and fit for use in partner-led bid, permit, and approval processes
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Development and Commercial teams to respond to partner RFPs, scoping requests, and technology evaluation inquiries on a global basis

Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Project Managers and Project Engineers - managing capacity, workload allocation, and performance expectations while fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture
  • Own the department budget and contribute to annual business planning cycles - managing expenses, developing forward-looking resource and pipeline forecasts, and maintaining KPIs and performance metrics
  • Serve as a senior technical and commercial voice in cross-functional leadership discussions, contributing to licensing strategy, partner prioritization, and business development planning

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive professional experience in development engineering, project management, or a related technical discipline within the energy sector
  • Minimum 4–6 years in a formal leadership or management role, with demonstrated experience leading teams of technical professionals
  • Strong background in techno-economic modelling, financial analysis, and project economics including equity and debt financing structures
  • Exposure to upstream oil and gas, geothermal, renewables, utility power, or power generation projects is considered a strong asset
  • Background in subsurface oil & gas resource planning and development is considered a strong asset
  • Experience working in client-facing or partner-support roles within a technology licensing, management consulting (Big4), or EPCM environment or independent technical consulting environment (e.g. reserves evaluation)- is considered a strong asset
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent STEM degree required; MBA or Project Management(PMP) designation considered an asset
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with APEGA and in good standing is considered an asset

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in techno-economic modelling; experience maintaining and improving complex, multi-variable financial models for use in partner-facing settings
  • High proficiency in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet) and project management frameworks (PMI/PMBOK or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in data analytics and modelling tools; familiarity with AI-assisted tools and workflow automation platforms that improve team productivity and output quality
  • Excellent technical writing skills including proposals, partner reports, business cases, and executive briefings; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as the primary tools for delivering these outputs

Leadership Skills

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing technical teams in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment; with strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of partner engagements with competing timelines and priorities
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills - comfortable representing Eavor as a technical authority in partner-facing meetings, due diligence sessions, and executive presentations
  • High degree of business and commercial acumen; able to connect technical analysis to licensing strategy, partner value, and Eavor's broader commercialization objectives
  • Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset; thrives in ambiguous, high-energy environments, takes ownership of outcomes, and is legally authorized to work in Canada without restrictions
