Job Description:

  • Please focus on candidates local to STL.
  • Helpful to have functional experience in Supply Chain / operational planning, to level out the learning curve.
  • Travel up to 25%.
  • As a Project Manager on the Enterprise Digital team, you will manage integration & innovation projects across one or multiple business functions.
  • You will be responsible for managing assigned projects throughout their life cycle (as per established Project Management Standards and Guidelines) to ensure benefits as prescribed in the business case are delivered.
  • The primary role is to control the project performance (Scope, Time, Quality, Cost, Risk, Benefits) and coordinate the activities of the team responsible for project deliverables.
  • This will include monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the project team.
  • You will plan, delegate, monitor and control project performance in a standard process (Identifying a Project, Defining a Project, Executing a Project, Directing a Project, and Closing a Project).
  • Your performance and effectiveness is determined by the forward visibility, situational awareness, and escalation/issue resolution for the assigned project(s).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Structure, plan, execute and deliver Enterprise Digital deployment projects at Client Petcare U.S.-based headquarters (St. Louis, MO) and/or factories, distribution centers or sales offices.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including business, IT, vendors and external partners by clearly defining roles & responsibilities, facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables to drive on-time, high-quality execution.
  • Lead business engagement by identifying key stakeholders, aligning expectations, managing communications, resolving concerns, and fostering strong partnerships to ensure successful project delivery and organizational adoption.
  • Create detailed project plans including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources in accordance with the department strategy.
  • Apply project management tools, methodologies and best practices to ensure the on-time launch and flawless execution of projects from concept to handover.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities.
  • This includes identifying project management coordination gaps or areas of improvement and making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress the project.
  • Manage and control project budget, providing regular cost forecasts as requested by project stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create reports highlighting KPIs that are below targets.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis when targets are not met and support the implementation of solutions.
  • Update project details in the portfolio management system including maintenance of resource plans.
  • Review resource time entries to identify where planned versus actuals time entries deviate.
  • Communicate with leadership to provide weekly project updates, keep project aligned to goals and proactively escalate issues to stay on time and schedule.
  • Up to 25% travel expected.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, business, management or relatable experience, OR relevant job experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a project manager role (5+ preferred)

Skills:

  • Ability to manage project budgets, project financial reporting and vendor management cycle
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and other productivity tools like Copilot, Planner, etc.
  • Stakeholder management experience within a project management role
  • Experience in facilitating discussions and conflict resolution in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new applications and landscapes
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software tools like MS Project and Smartsheet
  • Consumer Goods industry experience preferred
  • Supply Chain functional experience preferred, ideally in operational planning
  • Multiple start-to-finish enterprise-level projects strongly preferred
