Job description

Manager, Project Management

Position Summary

  • Work Schedule: Shifts: Regular working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

  • This position is 100% on-site at the Windsor or Strathroy site.

This position is located in either Windsor, Ontario or Strathroy, Ontario, our two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full-service turnkey solutions.

Reporting to Director Product Development for Ontario, the Manager- Project Management, is accountable for leading the Project Management group to assure products are developed per Catalent's NPIx (New product introduction excellence) standards. The Manager- Project Management, is accountable to ensure appropriate Project Management resources are identified and available to support the on-time delivery of projects within the entire NPIx (New product introduction excellence) portfolio which includes Development and Launch activities.

The Role:

  • Effectively manage the resources within the Ontario Project Management team to ensure resource requirements are aligned and constraints identified.

  • Enable the planned delivery of projects within the portfolio (scope, timeline, budget). Leading the design, coordination, management, and delivery of various programs (development, launch, post launch activities) in line with Catalent's NPIx standards.

  • Leading cross functional groups including cross site and department relationships.

  • Grow, maintain, and manage key external partnerships and customer relationships, facilitating effective collaboration and communication forums between customers and Catalent on project initiatives.

  • Effectively communicate on a timely basis with management and other departments within Catalent and customers to ensure clear understanding and acknowledgement of project/program status, risks, actions, and outcomes.

  • Effectively manage the forecasting of Development revenue including Fee For Service, Launch, Intracompany and Proactive activities.

  • Provide oversight, coordination, and mentorship of departmental resources. Mentor, train, and coach staff in establishing effective studies with appropriate risk management.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration or related field is required., PMP certification is an asset.

  • Minimum 5 years of project development/management experience is required.

  • Experience and familiarity with pharmaceutical, manufacturing and/or GMP facilities is required.

  • Demonstrated experience dealing with various levels in pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing challenges from development to program launch within an organization and with external customers and highly effective negotiation, diplomatic and conflict resolution skills.

  • Superb creation and facilitation of meetings, feedback sessions, and briefings in order to create consensus among stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods and demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve results.

  • Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.

  • Currently Catalent participates in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) on a limited basis.

  • Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as WES.

  • The employee's role frequently involves sitting and utilizing hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, necessitating manual dexterity.

  • Occasionally, the position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, alongside close vision capabilities and potential exposure to chemicals.

Pay:

The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary within this range $100,000 - $150,000 and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a global employer, and this salary range does not reflect positions that work in other countries.
