The Role



We are seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for large-scale infrastructure and utility projects. This role is similar to positions such as Project Controls Analyst, Project Cost Analyst, Construction Financial Analyst, or Capital Projects Analyst.



What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Partner with 5โ€“6 project managers to support projects at various stages of design and construction.
  • Develop, maintain, and update cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and quality checks on all project controls deliverables.
  • Compare schedules to financial data to verify project timelines align.
  • Integrate and analyze data in Excel using formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
  • Review upstream/downstream change orders and track budgets against POs and subcontracts.
  • Analyze project reports, present findings, and make recommendations to the project controls team.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for APMs, PMs, Lead Engineers, and Construction staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
  • 4+ years of related experience in project controls or construction/project management support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently and make quick, sound decisions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP preferred.
  • Ability to travel and a valid driverโ€™s license.
