Position Summary

The Project Controls Manager leads project cost and schedule tracking, reporting, and forecasting for large or complex projects. This role provides strategic insights, drives performance reviews, and mentors junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform complex controls tasks and advanced financial analyses including EVM, Risk Forecasting, Risk Management, Change Management, Cost Control, Scheduling Management.
  • Review project trends and advise on cost control measures.
  • Lead financial meetings and provide recommendations to PMs and executives.
  • Analyze changes in scope, schedule, or budget and assess impact.
  • Assist in developing internal controls, templates, and reporting dashboards.
  • Mentor junior specialists and guide data integrity practices.
  • Support company-wide initiatives to improve cost and schedule performance.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or Finance.
  • 10+ years of project controls experience in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proven expertise in Excel and cost tracking systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CMiC, Power BI, and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Working knowledge of federal contracts and contract compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to support large project teams and complex budgets.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

This office and field hybrid role requires frequent computer use and effective communication. Site work may involve extended periods of standing or walking and required PPE, with potential exposure to heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, fumes, uneven terrain, and extreme weather.
