Compensation: $120K-$140K DOE
Location: Renton, WA
Our client is a well-established mechanical engineering and energy services firm offering comprehensive, full-service mechanical project solutions. They provide an excellent benefits package, including employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, as well as a 401k plan. They are seeking a talented Small Projects Account Manager to lead and manage full-service mechanical projects in the $10 million and under range. This role is critical to the organization, serving as the central point of coordination between engineering, construction, and client teams to deliver successful project outcomes on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage project development and engineering resources on a per-project basis, while effectively managing client expectations.
  • Create, manage, and develop the scope of work and mechanical design documents for client-approved projects.
  • Manage design principles across projects, lead design team coordination meetings, and ensure designs remain on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the assigned construction manager to establish Guaranteed Maximum Construction Costs (GMAX) for projects.
  • Assist the sales team in client meetings and presentations.
  • Manage engineering project teammates and provide coaching and mentoring to support their career development.
  • Create, manage, and oversee budgets for Investment Grade Audits, Pre-Construction Services Proposals, and Mechanical Design Budgets.
  • Specify equipment, review and approve equipment submittals and O&M Manuals, and create record drawings from red lines.
  • Review assumptions and methodologies used in building guaranteed energy savings, and evaluate the IPMVP utilized for post-retrofit measurements to validate energy savings.
  • Oversee pre-retrofit Measurement & Verification (M&V) measurements for the energy guarantee.
  • Manage project schedules and effectively communicate changes in a dynamic environment.
  • Maintain clear and concise verbal and written communications with clients throughout all project phases.

Qualifications
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with intent to pursue PE licensure is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Revit required.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in HVAC Mechanical Systems Design, Energy Services Performance Contracting, or Energy Retrofit Design/Build project development required.
