Job description

At Winchester Interconnect, we always do the right thing, the right way.
Winchester Interconnect is committed to inspiring the most innovative teams. We foster a dynamic, inclusive environment that thrives on collaboration and continuous growth. We hire exceptional people, celebrate wins, empower employee growth, and provide opportunities to thrive. Winchester is where potential transforms into purpose, and every team member plays a vital role in shaping our shared success.
Position Summary:
As our Program Manager, you will serve as the tactical owner for key aerospace and defense customer accounts. You will be the primary owner of the customer relationship and their production plan, acting as the "voice of the customer" inside our factory and securing a pipeline of jobs for your assigned accounts.
You will manage all customer activities, from supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and managing technical requirements to ensuring flawless execution on the production floor. This is a critical role where you will not only manage all client communications but also plan and organize that work directly on the shop floor. You will use your business acumen to develop customer roadmaps, manage program profitability, and act as the central liaison between the customer, sales, and operations teams to solve problems and ensure 100% on-time delivery.
This position reports to the Sr. Director Strategic Programs.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business; an advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
  • 5-8+ years of experience as a Program Manager, Key Account Manager, or Production Planner in a high-reliability electronic manufacturing environment.
  • PMP certification is preferred with a strong emphasis in Critical Chain Project Management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of interconnect products, complex wire harnesses, overmolded assemblies, and cable assemblies.
  • Demonstrated competency in product quoting and pricing strategies.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical data packages (TDPs), blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience with AS9100 or similar aerospace quality management systems is highly preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) to comply with ITAR regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and analytical skills; must be able to independently prioritize a highly variable workload.
  • Polished communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company with integrity and professionalism. Must be assertive and persuasive, with perseverance and diplomacy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, strong proficiency in Excel) and ERP/MRP & CRM systems (Syspro preferred).
  • Availability to travel as needed.

Our core values - Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment (ACE) - are the foundation of how we operate and drive success. You will take ownership of your contributions, collaborate with a team that gets stuff done, and be empowered to innovate and pursue bold initiatives that drive our business forward.
Are You Our Next ACE?
  • Enhance and own the relationship with all stakeholders at your assigned customer accounts (buyers, engineers, quality, etc.).
  • Drive the quote-to-order process to ensure a steady pipeline of jobs for manufacturing. This includes validating data packages, creating quotes, and actively following up to win orders.
  • Provide timely customer support and act as the primary liaison for all inquiries, problem-solving, and status updates.
  • Lead all customer reviews, including QBRs and PMRs; maintain customer registers, and disseminate meeting notes and action items.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the customer and the production floor.
  • Develop the production plan for your accounts; you will prioritize jobs and coordinate daily workflow with the production team to meet customer-committed dates.
  • Proactively status and manage jobs through all internal production stages, identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they cause a delay.
  • Coordinate and lead new project kick-off meetings for all new customer orders.
  • Manage all program administration: process sales purchase orders, status schedules, process all change orders (and capture cost impacts), and manage RMAs.
  • Write up and manage the contract review folder for all sales orders.
  • Maintain all customer data in the ERP/CRM, including products, pricing, complaint logs, and report cards.
  • When necessary, assist accounting with collections.
  • Prepare various sales and operations reports for management.
