The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has 1 (one) exciting indeterminate opportunity within the Operations branch at the CATSA Headquarters.

Summary of responsibilities:

The Manager, Program Delivery is responsible for managing the provision of procedural, policy and project support to CATSA's four (4) administrative regions and for implementing program improvements to ensure the delivery of effective, efficient and consistent aviation security screening operations in Canada. The Manager, Program Delivery performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  •        Successful completion of a university degree in administration, business, law or social sciences or some other specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

  •        A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in operations program and services management.

  •        Two to three (2-3) years managerial experience leading a multi-disciplinary team and providing leadership.

  •        Experience providing advice and making recommendations to senior management.

This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:

  •        Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).

  •        Strong leadership and motivational skills.

  •        Strong collaboration and coordination skills.

  •        Solid ability to coordinate complex and highly sensitive files simultaneously.

  •        Strong ability to think critically and strategically.

  •        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  •        Sound judgement, tactful, discrete.

  •        Excellent professional, interpersonal and organizational skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

  •        Ability to work under pressure.

Valuable skills include:

  •        Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as the relevant legislation affecting CATSA

  •        Experience in the air transportation or security industry.

  •        Knowledge of project management principles.

Specific work requirements

  •        Ability to travel as required

  •        Language Profile: CBCC;

  •        Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and

  •        Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
