Position Summary:

The Change Management Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end change management process, ensuring all changes are executed in alignment with company procedures, international standards, and customer or regulatory requirements. This role functions similarly to a Program Manager, with a strong focus on mitigating risk, safeguarding organizational interests, and enabling successful, compliant change execution across the enterprise. The Change Management Manager will serve as a key gatekeeper for approving, delaying, or rejecting change requests while facilitating training, communication, and governance. This role requires an experienced professional with a background in the automotive industry and a solid understanding of APQP, IATF 16949, and AIAG core tools.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all changes follow defined change management processes and procedures.
  • Validate compliance with international standards, statutory/regulatory requirements, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Protect the organization from changes that could negatively impact business operations, customers, or compliance status.
  • Approve changes for progression to the next step of the process.
  • Reject changes identified as high-risk or detrimental to the company.
  • Request additional information when needed to confirm change validity.
  • Schedule special reviews for emergency changes.
  • Delay approval when critical stakeholders are not present or available.
  • Delay change processing based on resource availability, customer impact, or other priority considerations.
  • Provide training on the change management system to employees, leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Require attendance and active participation in change request review board meetings.
  • Ensure alignment and transparency across departments regarding approved and pending changes.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas) and PowerPoint.
  • Lean Manufacturing background (strongly preferred).
  • Experience managing supplier change requests.
  • Hands-on problem solving and corrective action experience (e.g., 8D methodology).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using AI tools or platforms to support data-driven tasks.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing changes in the Automotive industry.
  • Program/Project Management experience, including leading or participating in APQP as a Tier 1 supplier or with an automaker.
  • Proficiency with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
  • In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 change management requirements.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience:

  • 7+ years of Program/ Project Managementin a manufacturing environment. Automotive industry required.

Preferred Experience

  • Lean Manufacturing background (strongly preferred).
  • Experience managing supplier change requests.
  • Conducting IATF 16949 audits.
  • Hands-on problem solving and corrective action experience (e.g., 8D methodology).
