Job description

Salary: $30-$35/hr

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is seeking a Foundation Program Manager to join our team on a part-time contract basis through December 31, 2026.
Reporting to the Chair, Whitecaps FC Foundation, theFoundation Program Manager is responsible for the operational management and administration of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Foundation's 50/50 raffle program. This role will support the launch, implementation, and ongoing success of the Foundation's fundraising initiatives, ensuring all activities align with the mission, values, and objectives of the Whitecaps FC Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
50/50 Program Management

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Whitecaps FC Foundation's 50/50 raffle program.
  • Execute and monitor all 50/50 activities in compliance with applicable gaming regulations and licensing requirements, including all rules established by the Independent Gaming Control Office (IGCO).
  • Ensure all operational, financial, and reporting requirements outlined within the gaming license are completed accurately and on time.
  • Work closely with legal, finance, and compliance stakeholders to maintain adherence to gaming policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Foundation Board members, vendors, match-day staff, and internal departments to ensure successful execution of all raffle activities.
  • Support the development and procurement of event assets, including digital signage, volunteer apparel, raffle equipment, and promotional materials.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electronic raffle systems and equipment, coordinating with service providers as required for maintenance, updates, and repairs.
  • Support the disbursement of 50/50 proceeds and assist with additional Foundation programs and projects as required.


Volunteer & Staff Management

  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, supervision, and recognition of part-time staff and volunteers supporting the 50/50 program and other Foundation fundraising initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and engaging volunteer experience that reflects the values of the Foundation and Club.
  • Provide supervision and support to part-time program administrators, including coordinating duty manager and Foundation Board member schedules for raffle events.


Event Operations

  • Serve as the primary operational lead for all 50/50 raffle activities on match days and at Foundation events.
  • Attend and provide on-site support for all Whitecaps FC home matches and designated Foundation events.
  • Ensure all event operations are executed efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with established procedures.


Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in event operations, fundraising, gaming, community engagement, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers, staff, vendors, and community partners.
  • Experience with compliance reporting, regulatory requirements, or gaming operations is considered an asset.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in major events, professional sports, non-profit organizations, or fundraising environments is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other administrative systems.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and all Whitecaps FC home matches and designated Foundation events.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check.
