We are seeking a Program Manager to join our Information Technology team in Boone, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Program Manager,you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Build and manage strong partnerships between IT and assigned business units, serving as a key liaison to understand priorities, technology needs, and operational goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and drive technology solutions from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate IT projects and programs, managing plans, timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies, and risks using established project management tools and practices.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and provide business analysis, user acceptance testing, and implementation oversight to ensure solutions effectively meet business requirements.
  • Assess project resource and sourcing needs while managing relationships with vendors, internal IT teams, and stakeholders to support successful solution delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP or PgMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile or Waterfall methodologies, with a general understanding of software quality assurance (QA), user acceptance testing (UAT), and the ability to analyze and interpret business, technical, and regulatory information.
  • General knowledge of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and project management tools such as Jira, Workfront, or similar platforms.
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
