Location Description
Post Consumer Brands in Battle Creek, Mich., the cereal capital of the U.S., is the company's largest manufacturing plant and home to about 600 team members. When you join the team here, you'll be helping to produce some of the most iconic cereal brands, including Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, PEBBLES cereal, Grape-Nuts and Honeycomb cereal. The Battle Creek plant is also unique as it is home to the original barn where C.W. Post started the Postum cereal company in 1895. The Battle Creek team has deep community roots, supporting the city's Cereal Festival, The Post Foundation, and participating in several volunteer events throughout the year.
Responsibilities
Overview
The Project Engineer Manager III leads engineering projects that improve safety, quality, cost, and maintenance reliability. This role manages projects from concept through installation and start-up, ensuring all work is completed safely and in alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and performance expectations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering projects from idea through installation and commercialization
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and performance
  • Develop project justifications, cost estimates, and capital authorization requests
  • Facilitate project meetings and communicate progress with stakeholders
  • Select and manage equipment suppliers, contractors, and engineering consultants
  • Provide construction oversight and start-up management
  • Ensure compliance with safety, ergonomics, sanitation, GMP, and food safety standards
  • Maintain engineering documentation including process flows, P&IDs, and standards
  • Participate in audits, best-practice sharing, and capital planning activities
  • Provide training and technical support to internal teams as needed

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical, and business judgment skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence others
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and creating a respectful work environment

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering or science-related field preferred)
  • PMP certification preferred

Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, project management, process design, and contractor supervision
  • Experience managing complex engineering projects in a process-based environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering disciplines, plant operations, and construction
