Job description

DOWA North America is a trusted leader in commercial heat treatment and industrial furnace engineering. With state-of-the-art facilities in the United States and Mexico, we provide cutting-edge solutions that enhance metal durability, improve performance, and optimize manufacturing efficiency.  Our commitment to quality, precision, and innovation make us the partner of choice for industries including automotive, aerospace, and heavy equipment.

Reporting to the HR Director, the Organizational Performance Manager’s primary focus will be to support a transition to a “Purpose Driven/High Performance” culture and pivot Quality and Safety to the forefront.  This role will have responsibility for the following:

  • Development, monitoring, and reporting of Organizational KPI’s, in order to facilitate a “High Performance” culture.
  • Partnering with Quality and Production leaders in the creation and monitoring of work instruction communication, training, and content evaluation.
  • Development and implementation of ongoing communications to the entire organization regarding performance.
  • Develop and manage a rotating “performance coaching” role with all production associates, in an effort to transition associate training to a peer level.
  • The authoring and creation of customer profiles to communicate an awareness of customer and product for the purposes of employee engagement.
  • Participation in the employee onboarding process to introduce a Purpose Driven Culture and Values.
  • Facilitation of hands-on production associate training for new and current hourly employees; as well as new product or remedial training.
  • Support to the EHS function and administration of the LMS.
  • Co-authoring of Company newsletter for “High Performance” cultural branding.

This is an individual contributor role and a new position to Dowa.  This role will evolve over the next year, based upon the input from the new encumbent and the overall organizational impact.  In addition, this position will partner closely with the HR Director and Managers to actively support culture change initiatives, levels of engagement, accountability and ultimately, revenue.  If you have an interest in this role, only apply if you are able to discuss, in a detailed manner, the relevant experience you possess.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years in an HR, Operations or training related role, with exposure to organizational change initiatives.  Or, this profile may be lesser years of experience with an undergraduate degree specific to Organizational Behavior.
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field of study is required.
  • Impactful successes in Organizational change efforts and cultural branding.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the authoring and facilitation of production training efforts.
  • An ability and desire to co-design and implement an organizational change model.
  • A high level of comfort on a production floor, as well as an office environment.  Summer temperatures at DOWA in the plant, are hot.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • A high level of creativity and process development experience.
  • Working knowledge and successes with training associates in a production environment.
  • A knowledge and respect for the nuances of a small company.  Our headcount is currently under 100 and we operate on a 24/7 basis.
  • A diligent desire for accuracy, a character of integrity and agility in managing and completing projects.

This is not a remote work opportunity.  $110,000 to $125,000.  We offer an outstanding benefits package (zero deductible healthcare plan), 3 weeks PTO, 401(k), etc.  This position requires someone who is responsible, has a drive for excellence and seeks to understand systems and practices.  If you appreciate the feel of a small company, enjoy a strong team environment and are energized by freedom to create, this is the opportunity for you.
