About the Role As District Manager, you’ll lead the charge in driving operational success across the region. You’ll shape strategy, guide execution, and collaborate with key partners across Human Resources, Safety, Service, Credit, Purchasing, and Sales to deliver strong, consistent results and elevate overall district performance.


KEY OUTCOMES

  • A staff that embodies the Haun Culture.
  • Meets or exceeds annual and monthly budget goals for branches and region.

KEY RHYTHMS

  • Daily Coaching and instruction in Branch Best Practice.
  • Actively participate in the weekly DM huddles.
  • Actively participate in the Monthly Leadership meetings.
  • Conduct 1:1 monthly with branch managers.
  • Monthly Branch Visits.
  • Monthly District Updates.
  • As needed creation and coordination with corporate functions and sales to improve process and customer outcomes.
  • Problem resolution.

RELATIONAL SCOPE

  • Direct Report to Director of Branch Operations.
  • Partner with your complementing Regional Sales Manager.
  • Partner with Department Director or Managers (Plant, Finance, HR, Safety, Credit, etc.).
  • Member of Leadership Team.
  • Direct Supervisor to Branch Managers.
  • Leader and model to your region.
Requirements:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Address operational problems that arise in a timely and effective way.
  • Foster a positive environment.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the operations side of the business.
  • Ensure operational efficiency is well defined and met in each branch.
  • Build relationships within the local communities surrounding the district.
  • Monitor each branch’s P&L reports.
  • Face to face field time with direct reports and customer mentor, develop and drive positive results.
  • Provide feedback to the Leadership Team on district needs as well as competitive market threats/opportunities.
  • Work closely with District Sales Managers to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Ensure that marketing efforts are consistent across each branch.
  • Develop team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
  • Ensure that branches adhere to company and industry regulations.
  • Ensure that all branches meet safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensuring that customer service levels are consistent across stores.
  • Liaise between regional employees and company headquarters.
  • Make recommendations to senior management.
  • Follow prescribed safety protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must have at the time of hire and maintain throughout employment a valid drivers’ license free of major infractions.
  • Must live within the designated territory.
  • 5+ years of related experience in a sales or branch role.
  • Experience in industrial equipment or a welding equipment background is helpful.
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Dedication to providing excellent customer service.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
