Location: OR – Home Based

Position Overview: The District Manager role is a sales role responsible for the execution of our annual sales goals in the state of OR through detailed planning, customer account visits & management, distributor education and work withs. Consistent and clear communication with their supervisor, their Regional Manager.

This is a role that requires the ability to multi-task as you will be working with our distributor partners developing monthly plans and programs with the State Manager, training and working the markets with our distributor partners’ sales teams, building relationships and selling to key retail and on-premises accounts. Building productive visits, wine dinners and consumer tasting and selling events for our suppliers. This is a role for someone who is a tenacious goal-oriented overachiever.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

· Relationship Building

· Direct selling to On & Off Premise customers

· Working the market with the Distributor Sales team

· Attaining Sales Goals and Objectives

· Distributor education and information; team meetings, GSMs and special events

· Participate in weekly, monthly and tertile meetings and business reviews

· KPI of 100 Top Accounts sales objectives

· Prepare and execute supplier market visits, dinners, tastings, and sales meetings

· Communicate sales updates, market conditions and any issues with Regional Manager

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5 years of distributor or supplier experience
  • Wine retail sales experience preferred
  • A foundation of wine intelligence and the ability to educate others
  • Competitive and Charismatic personality
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal
  • Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft office
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Safe driving record
  • Must be able to present in front of large groups of people.
