Job description

Job Overview

AEVEX Aerospace is looking for a detail oriented Inventory Control Specialist with experience tracking and maintaining physical inventory, identifying discrepancies or losses, and managing the flow of parts and equipment to and from the shop floor.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure all material is properly received within the ERP system on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all material is put away within the ERP system on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all material is properly issued within the ERP system on a daily basis.
  • Review and close open receipts, put aways, or issues on the associated ERP report.
  • Physically put away assets to their assigned bin location and issue items to the production floor.
  • Execute daily cycle counts per the published cycle count program
  • Report inventory discrepancies and inventory levels to the Inventory Control Manager
  • Participate in annual, bi-annual, or as required physical inventory audits
  • Conduct frequent inventory stock checks and other stockroom duties
  • Perform shipping and receiving related duties including loading and unloading trucks as needed
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensure all work is done efficiently and adheres to aviation safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Maintain a clean work environment in full compliance with company standards and customer and government regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Experience with computerized inventory systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel or related software

Education / Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Current forklift certification required.

Experience

  • 2-4 yrs. previous shipping/receiving/inventory experience required
