 The OR Nurse Manager provides 24/7 operational and clinical leadership for assigned unit(s), maintaining accountability for patient care delivery, staffing, quality outcomes, and financial performance. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards while fostering a culture of continuous performance improvement, patient safety, and clinical excellence.

The Nurse Manager is responsible for developing and sustaining an effective, patient-centered care delivery model that aligns with evidence-based practice and organizational goals. By implementing strategic initiatives, operational processes, and quality standards, the Nurse Manager supports key departmental and organizational priorities, including quality of care, patient experience, patient safety, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.

Additionally, the Nurse Manager promotes collaborative and collegial relationships across departments and disciplines to enhance care coordination and achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role provides leadership in all aspects of workforce management, including recruitment, onboarding, coaching, staff development, performance management, employee relations, corrective action, scheduling, payroll administration, and succession planning. Through strong leadership and accountability, the Nurse Manager fosters a positive work environment that supports professional growth, teamwork, and high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
  • At least two (2) years of clinical nursing knowledge and experience in an acute care hospital setting, including at least one (1) year in a formal leadership, charge nurse, supervisory, or management role.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient acuity classification systems, staffing methodologies, and workforce planning to meet the clinical needs of the patient population.
  • Strong understanding of nursing standards of practice, regulatory requirements, quality improvement principles, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive operational excellence, and foster a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.

  • Our organization follows an in person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.
