Department: 7420-Operating Room

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780 ("HOSPITAL")

Reporting To: Glenda Luce

Compensation: $80,000 - $135,000 / year

Description

The Nurse Manager has 24/7 leadership responsibility for all clinical, staffing, quality, and financial management for the unit(s). Ensures compliance with performance improvement process and all regulatory bodies. Ensures an effective patient care delivery system that is compliant and consistent with standards of practice. Implements strategies, processes, and standards to support key organizational initiatives such as quality of care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Promotes collegial relationships between the unit and other departments or disciplines across the hospital. Responsible for employee coaching, training, hiring, counseling/discipline, performance assessment, and payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7 leadership for clinical, staffing, quality, and financial management of the unit(s).

Required Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of nursing knowledge and experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role in a hospital environment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, active.
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in California.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • Understanding of patient classification and staffing requirements for the patient population.
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • Previous pediatric experience or pediatric class within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of unit-specific knowledge and experience.
  • At least 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or related field.
  • Certified Nurse Manager Leader (CNML) or specialty area certification.
