Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to manage operational activities for JLL's Mid-Atlantic Project and Development Services (PDS) team. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, delivering strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations department. The Operations Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage business intelligence tools, ensure compliance with regulations, and identify opportunities for technology integration to enhance operational efficiency.
Operational Support:
  • Support the market operations by assisting with administrative tasks and operational responsibilities.
  • Collaborate closely with the regional operations lead to ensure smooth and efficient processes within the market.
  • Implement operational strategies and initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction within the market.
  • Assist in the optimization of operational activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

People Support:
  • Contribute to the local development of materials to supplement the development of project management team members within the market.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and facilitate training sessions for the local markets teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the operational team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills.
  • Support a culture of continuous learning, performance feedback, and career development within the local teams.

Reporting and Analysis:
  • Utilize business intelligence tools and analytics to support data-informed decision-making within operations at the market level.
  • Assist in reporting and measuring key performance metrics to monitor and track operational performance locally.
  • Conduct analysis of operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement within the market.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the market to translate data insights into actionable strategies and process improvements.

Risk and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations at the market level.
  • Assist in promoting awareness of incident reporting policies and investigations in collaboration with the Regional Operations Lead.
  • Support the local teams in understanding and implementing risk management processes to minimize project risks.
  • Assist in reporting and updating the status of risk reviews as required at the market level.

Technology Adoption:
  • Collaborate with the Regional Operations Lead and PM teams to evaluate and provide feedback in gaps of newly integrated technology.
  • Support the adoption of technology tools and systems within the local teams, ensuring proper training and ongoing support.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and automation within market operations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience; 1 or more years of people management experience desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with executive level internal and external clients, in-person and remotely
  • Keen sense of quality and details with the ability to prioritize and manage differing needs of the business
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook), Adobe Suite, Smartsheet, SharePoint and InDesign desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment in making independent decisions with a high degree of quality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong business acumen to understand/provide context for decisions; able to influence and challenge decisions as appropriate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
  • Previous real estate support roles
  • Knowledge of design, construction, or commercial real estate industry
  • Excellent project and process management ability (solution oriented, organized, resourceful)

Estimated compensation for this position:
80,000.00 - 100,000.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
