Job description

Ignite Digital is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide leadership and oversight for a legacy Navy web-based application program in support of NIWC Atlantic and DoW software maintenance efforts in the Norfolk, VA area. The selected candidate will serve as a key personnel resource responsible for managing technical teams, program schedules, cost performance, deliverables, and customer engagement across complex C4ISR software sustainment activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of legacy Navy application and software maintenance and sustainment activities.
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, cost, and performance, ensuring alignment with customer objectives.
  • Manage multidisciplinary software development and maintenance teams.
  • Coordinate installation, integration, and testing efforts for software releases.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and technical and management deliverables.
  • Support proposal development, cost estimations, and bid preparation as required.
  • Build effective relationships with government stakeholders, subcontractors, and teaming partners.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DoD acquisition standards, and Ignite Digital internal processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business.
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance at time of hire.
  • 10 years of direct experience supporting C4ISR software maintenance programs.
  • 8 years of direct experience with:
    • Information technology-based projects and solutions
    • Software design, development, and production
    • Installation and test & evaluation of software maintenance solutions
  • 4 years as a manager of software development and maintenance projects, including:
    • Supervising project personnel and/or technical teams
    • Scheduling and coordinating project work
    • Writing proposals and preparing bids
  • Ordering and/or transporting technical equipment and materials

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with DoD C4ISR, maintenance, logistics, or business systems.
  • Other relevant industry experience may be considered with COR approval.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and oral communication abilities commensurate with a senior project management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage concurrent priorities.
  • Effective communicator capable of presenting technical and programmatic information clearly.
  • Proven problem-solving skills supporting modernization, sustainment, and C4ISRrelated initiatives.

Salary: $125k+ to align with experience and education
