Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Development Project Manager to join our team in Herndon VA . As a Project Manager on our team, you will lead a team of a high-performing software developers supporting our customer’s mission.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying project needs and required tasks, organizing project activities for a prominent enterprise application, and managing project tasks and objectives to meet the customer mission.
  • Monitoring and maintaining system requirements from diverse groups of stakeholders, effectively communicating requirements to developers, and working with developers to deliver solutions while managing requirements documentation, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Engaging with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure requirements are thoroughly and clearly defined and assessed.
  • Managing all project documentation to include meeting minutes, standards for quality, repeatability, and consistency.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with mission partners.
  • Identifying, coordinating, and managing an ever-expanding and evolving set of needs with different stakeholders, groups, and offices to ensure goals and timelines can be met.
  • Communicating with customer and internal leadership to keep them aware of project status and obtaining approvals for project control gates/phases.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with 10+ years’ experience in Project Management, System Engineering, or Project Integration
  • 5+ years’ experience managing Software Development teams
  • Experience with Project Management tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with the Agile development process and serving as a Scrum Master

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline
  • 5+ years supporting customers and programs in the IC Community
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical lead position
  • PMP or ITIL certification

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
