Do you have the career opportunities you want with your current employer?  We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Graduate Medical Education Team in Brentwood, TN which is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare. 

The Manager of Graduate Medical Education Program Operations, Corporate based (Brentwood, TN) is responsible for overseeing the creation and maintenance of successful onboarding for all programs, as well as other resident related items and program management efficiency issues enterprise-wide. In addition to HR matters, the role is imperative to direct the administrative operations and teach appropriate oversight and daily management of all medical education programs.

This role will also be responsible for supporting GME teams in all strategic initiatives that support the goal of recruiting, training and retaining physicians. All strategic recruitment initiatives will include branding, digital and traditional marketing, website optimization and others determined to the success of GME.

The Manager of GME Program Operations will make formal recommendations for improvement to the Director GME Administration based on reflections from programs and the current trends in GME. This role will assist and guide initiatives as directed by the Director GME Operations to ensure compliance with requirements across the various spectrums and general residency program success.  

Job Summary and Qualifications

  • HR pre- and onboarding process, HCI malpractice insurance, HealthStream training modules, eSAF/MPD training, Benefits election
  • Support, monitor and address all resident activities via coordinators
  • Readiness to ensure detailed information is shared to allow successful completion of related tasks
  • Oversight of communication to GME/HR staff and Residents/Fellows enterprise-wide
  • Execution of correspondence with all GME staff
  • Work in conjunction with recruitment team concerning medical students, residents/fellows, and retaining graduating residents/fellows; this includes exhibiting at national conferences/gatherings
  • Manage the development of integrated recruitment planning as appropriate to:
  • Attract high caliber residents and fellows to HCA Healthcare’s GME programs
  • Build the HCA Healthcare GME brand network
  • Oversee the production of engaging content for the GME website, social media channels, newsletters, etc. that attracts and educates target groups

Development

  • Create, streamline, facilitate mechanisms to ensure appropriate training and orientation of GME staff/leadership
  • Develop and execute operational plans/strategies across multi-disciplinary functions and/or facilities
  • Work with corporate resources to gather the needed information to support programs from the corporate level
  • Drive efforts to advance residency education through efficiency and effectiveness. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Communication with coordinators and corporate staff to ensure messages are received across all levels of GME staff
  • Tracking progress of initiatives
  • Participation in/organization of special review process and assessment of annual corporate initiatives to review data on improvements and assist in reporting action steps to the Divisions and Corporate Leadership

Management Responsibilities

  • Supervises the daily activities of the Outreach Coordinator and provides matrixed supervision for the program coordinators across the enterprise
  • Successfully works across service lines with various levels of executives/leaders

Program Leadership

  • Identify best practices and education opportunities to incorporate into training with local programs, and assist with policy development
  • In collaboration with Group Director/DD, lead resident onboarding process
  • Work in conjunction with GME Corporate Team and PSG Marketing and Communications Teams to create or update recruitment information for programs to utilize at the local level, assist programs with Letters of Intent, and also address responsibilities related to resident educational training pertaining to employment
  • Provide leadership and direction to program staff across the company
  • Participate in the GME IP Governance Committee
  • Ensure business functions support and contribute to facility-wide or market-wide performance and make decisions guided by strategic and operational objectives

EDUCATION:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least two years of graduate medical school experience or a minimum of 5 years of graduate medical experience.
