Summary of Essential Duties
The Manager of System Operations Control has oversight and authority over all aspects of operational control, crew scheduling, and compliance.
  • Exercise authority for initiation, preflight planning, delay, and cancellation of every flight
  • Oversee crew member scheduling, assignments, rest requirements, and other assignments such as training and maintenance
  • Maintain sufficient staffing of SOC personnel to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of flight coordinators' training and qualification records
  • Conduct performance reviews for flight coordinators
  • Schedule flight coordinators to ensure continuous coverage by personnel with operational control authority
  • Maintain current System Operations Control reference materials
  • Oversee the crew planning process, including daily scheduling of flight crews and coordinators
  • Coordinate flight crew travel, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations
  • Ensure crew member compliance with federal rest, duty, and flight time limitations, including 14 CFR 135.263, 135.267, and 135.267(c)
  • Designate the pilot-in-command (PIC) and second-in-command (SIC) for each flight
  • Ensure each flight is crewed with at least the required minimum crew members
  • Perform flight locating procedures in accordance with Company policy
  • Serve as point of contact for accounting communications
  • Administer SOC personnel payroll and benefit reporting
  • Ensure timely payroll submission for flight crew and coordinator assignments
  • Track aircraft usage and prepare owner summaries
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Posses a FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate or have aviation operational experience is required.
  • Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.
  • High School diploma or GED required. College degree preferred but not required.
  • Extensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations, aeronautical charts, aviation weather, aircraft performance and flight planning.
  • Minimum of one (1) year in aviation or aviation related industry.
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Rockwell Collins FOS or similar crew scheduling software familiarity preferred.
  • Must be able to work all shifts designated within the System Operations Control center including midnight shifts, weekend, and holiday schedules.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations using both decimals and hours/minutes as well as use of a 24-hour clock.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
