The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Licensed Program Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of aerospace maintenance support for a fleet of Bell 505 helicopters in accordance with FAA regulations and organizational objectives. This role ensures program compliance, safety, quality, and operational excellence across all phases of program performance. The Program Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages customer relationships, and provides leadership to ensure successful outcomes for aerospace initiatives. Leading a team that provides safe, effective airframes to support Army Initial Rotary Wing training is the ultimate deliverable for this position.
This position is contingent on successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead an aviation maintenance team supporting a fleet of Bell 505 helicopters, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and commercial aviation standards.
  • Serve as the V2X primary liaison with prime contractor, DoD users, FAA representatives, and internal leadership and customers.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure all program activities align with safety, airworthiness, and quality requirements.
  • Manage V2X workforce at two geographically-separated locations.
  • Manage contract performance, including requirements management, deliverables, modifications, and reporting.
  • Conduct program reviews, audits, and readiness assessments in partnership with V2X quality managers and the FAA.
  • Identify program risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain continuity and compliance.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and establish best practices for aerospace program operations.
  • Support proposal development, cost modeling, resource planning, and technical writing for new business pursuits.

Work Environment:
Work performance will be on site at Fort Rucker in Enterprise, AL. This role may require travel to prime contractor facilities, FAA facilities, customer locations, testing environments, and operational sites. Work may involve both office and field environments depending on program requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Must hold an A&P license, to include Inspection Authorization (IA) credentials, with 10 years performing in this capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 12+ years of program or project management experience within the aerospace, aviation, or defense sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA regulations, compliance requirements, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional technical teams in a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to DoD government facilities and computer systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP or PgMP certification.
  • Master's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Aviation Management, or related discipline.
  • Rotary wing and/or US Army aviation experience strongly desired.
  • Background in aircraft maintenance, flight operations, aviation safety, or airworthiness management.
