Join Amazon's Transportation Operations Management (TOM) team as an Associate Learning & Development Trainer and play a crucial role in shaping our transportation network's future. In this DOT-regulated position, you'll combine your transportation expertise with hands-on training delivery to develop our Transportation Associates' (TAs) critical skills. You'll lead classroom, virtual, and yard training sessions, focusing on safety, operational excellence, and compliance.

This role offers a unique opportunity to impact one of the world's largest transportation networks while developing your own skills in training delivery and operational support.
Key job responsibilities
Training Delivery
Deliver standardized classroom, virtual, and hands-on training following established curriculum
Conduct comprehensive new hire onboarding covering yard safety, equipment operation, and Amazon policies
Provide continuous education programs including safety refreshers and operational updates
Over-the-Road (OTR) Training
Deliver safe driving techniques and defensive driving principles
Ensure compliance with DOT requirements through proper vehicle inspections and documentation
Train associates on route planning, navigation, and emergency response protocols
Safety and Operations
Execute yard safety observations and provide real-time coaching to Transportation Associates
Support yard operations during high-volume events through yard management and shuttling
Partner with site leadership to maintain safety standards and operational excellence
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate training records including attendance, completion, and safety observations
Track and report training metrics while providing feedback on program effectiveness
Ensure compliance with Amazon policies, safety protocols, and DOT regulations
A day in the life
Your day might begin with a virtual training session on compliance updates or safety protocols. You could then transition to hands-on yard training, demonstrating proper equipment operation and safety practices. In the afternoon, you might conduct over-the-road training, working one-on-one with associates to develop their driving skills

During peak periods, you'll flex between training delivery and supporting critical yard operations. Throughout the day, you'll document training completion, provide coaching, and ensure all activities comply with DOT regulations.
About the team
The Associate Learning and Development (ALD) Training Delivery Team implements comprehensive transportation training programs through hands-on and classroom instruction. Our team collaborates with cross-organizational stakeholder groups to deliver high-quality, timely training that drives operational success and maintains safety excellence

Through engaging instructional techniques and practical skills building, we create an environment that encourages continuous learning and curiosity among transportation associates. We are change champions that challenge the status quo.
