IT Project Manager - Infrastructure

$45 to $55 per hour contract
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure IT Project Manager to lead enterprise infrastructure and technology initiatives across networking, cloud services, systems, cybersecurity, and business applications. This role is heavily focused on coordinating complex infrastructure projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable IT solutions that align with organizational priorities.
Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate enterprise infrastructure projects involving networks, servers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, databases, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage full project lifecycles including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource coordination, execution, and delivery.
  • Oversee infrastructure deployments, upgrades, migrations, data center initiatives, and operational improvement projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure engineers, security teams, software teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Facilitate Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies depending on project requirements.
  • Conduct stakeholder meetings and provide executive-level status reporting and communication.
  • Ensure infrastructure projects comply with security standards, governance requirements, and operational best practices.
  • Support testing, deployment, cutover planning, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, scalability, and service reliability.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of IT project management experience supporting infrastructure and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification required.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure including networking, cloud services, cybersecurity, servers, storage, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience managing infrastructure implementations, migrations, upgrades, and operational projects.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience leading enterprise infrastructure modernization or cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, compliance standards, and governance processes.
  • Experience with ITSM, monitoring, and project management tools.
