Theย Procurement Managerย is responsible forย leading and developing a team of Procurementย ย Specialists.

This role drives operational discipline, and data integrity, ensuring the teamย operatesย with accuracy, consistency, and scalable execution in support of Director and Sr Manager-level performanceย objectives. The Procurement Manager is accountable for team performance, workload balance, and continuous process improvement.

This is a player/coach role. The Procurement Manager is expected toย allocateย approximately 70% of time to moving orders through the procurement lifecycle, while dedicating 30% to people leadership, team development, and operational governance responsibilities.ย Managing their team to give our internal and external clients the best possible experience.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee Procurement support for all of Ahead:ย 
    • Validate the accuracy of orders through Salesforce using customer and vendor quotesย ย 
    • Accurately order equipment from our vendors using many different portals and toolsย ย 
    • Trouble shoot orders being placed via API and with vendors
    • Ensure team members are following up on order confirmations and moving opportunities to Vendor Accepted in a timely manner
    • Support AHEAD and Vendor/OEM EOM/EOQ/EOY activities to include being available to facilitate late and/or complex orders
    • Support Operational Close for AHEAD Month/Quarter/Year ends
  • Handle or escalate internal and external customer satisfaction issues as they ariseย 
  • Give input on hiring, participate in onboarding, and training Procurement new hiresย 
  • Identify areas of improvement of best practices for Procurement function in conjunction with Sr Manager of Procurement and other teamsย 
  • Participate in maintaining detailed documentation of all Procurement processesย ย 
  • *Other job duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • Minimum Required - HS Diploma
  • Preferred - AA or above
  • 2-5 years of people management experience
  • 5+ years IT purchasing/procurement experience preferably in the VAR/Distribution space
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Microsoft Office
  • Salesforce and/or Netsuite preferred
  • Proven people leadership and coaching capabilityย 
  • Deep understanding of quote-to-cash lifecycle and booking complianceย 
  • Ability toย operateย effectively in fast-paced, sales-centric environmentsย
