Looking for a role where you'll lead the planning and purchasing strategy behind a complex, multi-site supply chain network? Marvin is hiring a Sr. Director of Planning and Purchasing to lead end-to-end supply chain performance across our manufacturing network. This role is responsible for integrated planning, purchasing execution, and cross-functional alignment that supports customer service, schedule commitments, quality performance, inventory, and material cost. As a key supply chain leader, you'll guide a distributed team in a matrix environment while driving one-plan execution through Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE).

Highlights of your role
  • Lead and develop planning and purchasing teams across multiple locations, establishing governance, decision rights, escalation paths, and consistent performance routines across sites.  
  • Lead enterprise-wide ERP system transformation initiatives, driving process optimization, stakeholder engagement, change management, and successful adoption of new technology solutions. 
  • Drive IBP processes that align demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial targets from corporate forecasts to plant-level execution.  
  • Lead S&OP and S&OE processes, identifying constraints, driving tradeoff decisions, monitoring performance against plan, and ensuring effective recovery actions across sites.  
  • Oversee supply, demand, and capacity planning while standardizing planning practices and improving planning tools and data accuracy across the network.  
  • Provide functional leadership to purchasing teams, ensuring purchasing strategies and execution align with business plans while strengthening supplier engagement and accountability.  
  • Own supplier continuity, risk mitigation, inventory strategy, and working capital improvement initiatives to support operational and financial performance.  
  • Partner across operations, finance, quality, and engineering to drive one-plan alignment, decision clarity, and operational excellence.  
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.  
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience.  
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.  
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is preferred. 
  • Proven success implementing IBP, S&OP, and S&OE processes.  
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across geographically diverse sites.  
Also want to make sure you have
  • Experience leading planning, purchasing, supplier performance, inventory, and cost initiatives within a multi-site manufacturing or supply chain environment.  
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across operations, finance, quality, engineering, and leadership teams.  
  • Demonstrated success translating strategic plans into operational execution and measurable results.
