Director of Operations
Post Falls, Idaho
SALARY : $95,000 - $135,000

Are you an experienced manufacturing leader who excels in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? We want to hear from you! As Director of Operations, you will oversee the company's day-to-day operations, drive performance and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure alignment with MetalQuest's vision and mission to advance organizational success. This role is responsible for vendor and inventory management, optimizing operational efficiency, and identifying growth opportunities that support the company's long-term success.

What You'll Do

  • Customer / Vendor Management :
    • Enter and maintain customer purchase orders within the ERP/MRP system, ensuring accuracy of part numbers, revisions, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements.
    • Coordinate with customers to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
    • Monitor customer demand, order status, and delivery schedules to support on-time performance.


  • Purchasing & Inventory :
    • Maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess inventory.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and competitive pricing.
    • Track supplier performance, forecast purchasing needs and follow up on late deliveries or material shortages that could impact production schedules.
  • Leadership
    • Lead, and develop a diverse team of manufacturing managers, supervisors, and operators across all production lines and facilities through coaching, evaluations and mentoring.
    • Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, quality standards, including AS9100 requirements where applicable.
    • Establish performance goals, metrics, and accountability across departments.
  • Data Entry
    • Generate reports to track key performance indicators related to inventory accuracy, scrap, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.


Qualifications

  • 2 + years experience in purchasing or inventory management preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years experience require in supply chain, lean manufacturing, and team development
  • Excellent communication skills and high level attention to detail.
  • Possess knowledge of available vendors that are related to this field.
  • ECI / JobBoss experience is a plus.
