Background Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• Progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong background in plant accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Experience leading and developing accounting and finance professionals.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing.

• Experience analyzing manufacturing costs, inventory, variances, margins, and operational performance.

• Strong ERP and Microsoft Excel skills.

• Automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and finance activities supporting manufacturing operations.

• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in partnership with business leadership.

• Analyze manufacturing costs, margins, inventory, labor, overhead, and operational variances.

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and operational performance.

• Partner closely with plant leadership, operations, purchasing, engineering, and other functional teams.

• Establish and monitor financial KPIs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and GAAP.

• Support capital expenditure analysis, business cases, and investment decisions.

• Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting and finance organization.

• Identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting and financial processes.

• Support internal and external audits and ensure appropriate documentation and controls are maintained.

• Communicate financial performance and business insights to plant and senior leadership.
