Stone & Hard Surface Technician - Marble/Granite/Terrazzo Experience Preferred
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Technician to deliver high-quality restoration, maintenance, and repair services for natural stone and terrazzo surfaces in commercial facilities. This role focuses on craftsmanship, surface correction, and preservation. SOLID provides specialized training, tools, and equipment to support success.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform expert-level restoration, polishing, honing, and repair of natural stone and terrazzo surfaces, including crack repair, chip repair, staining correction, and surface refinishing.
  • Diagnose surface issues and determine appropriate repair and restoration methods.
  • Deliver high-quality results on architectural surfaces including stone, terrazzo, tile, grout, and concrete, with an emphasis on stone care.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as floor machines, grinders, polishers, and diamond tooling.
  • Follow direction from Shift and Crew Leaders while also demonstrating independence on skilled repair tasks.
  • Prepare job sites by gathering necessary tools, materials, and products; load and unload vehicles as needed.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and best practices for equipment, chemicals, and repair processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, vehicles, and warehouse.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding job progress and challenges.
  • Travel to job sites using company-provided vehicles; occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Participate in specialized training for advanced stone and terrazzo repair techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Zero client callbacks related to stone or terrazzo work.
  • High-quality, consistent repair and restoration results.
  • 100% completion of training with passing scores.
  • Full compliance with safety protocols.
  • Efficiency and adherence to project timelines.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to pass background checks as required by clients.
  • Basic computer skills for timekeeping and training systems.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the office during off-shift hours.
