Boeing Air Dominance is seeking an RF Sensor Team Manager (Level 3 IPT) to join the Air Proprietary 2 (AP2) Program, in Berkeley, MO, where you will lead a high-performing team responsible for developing advanced RF sensor subsystems in support of a critical mission.

In this leadership role, you will guide, mentor, and coach engineers at all levels while helping shape the growth of Boeing’s next generation of technical leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads team members performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electronic and Electrical Engineering

  • Mentoring and coaching all levels of engineers providing knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of leaders and engineers

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees

  • Provides specific guidance to team members to ensure effective performance

  • Builds relationships to gain support and commitment from others, promotes ideas with enthusiasm and conviction

  • Be responsible for overall planning, execution, and success of complex projects

  • Forecast resource needs and hire/develop appropriate personnel to meet project and daily operating requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

  • A final Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

  • 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years of work-related experience with a Masters or PhD

  • Experience in mission systems integration

  • Experience managing risks, cost performance, and schedule performance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s degree or higher

  • Minimum 3 years of engineering leadership experience.

  • Experience across multiple phases of the product life-cycle

  • Experience working with and leading Supplier(s)

  • Experience working in Cameo, or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools

  • Experience working on development programs using an Agile / Scrum methodologies

  • Experience with JIRA

  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively at multiple levels (direct reports, peers, executive leaders, and customers)

  • Proven track record of execution in a development environment

Education:

Level K (manager): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
