Warehouse Selector

Schedule: Sunday through Friday, 8 PM to 5 AM

Department: Warehouse

Reports to: Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Bush Brothers is a fifth-generation family-run meat purveyor based in Royal Palm Beach, FL. Established in 1925, we pride ourselves on best-in-class service and a high-end protein portfolio. As a USDA-inspected processing plant, we specialize in center-of-the-plate and portion-controlled offerings to meet the demands of Floridaโ€™s high-end Hotel, Restaurant, and Country Club clientele. We process and distribute Beef, Veal, Lamb, Pork, Poultry, and Provisions throughout South and Central Florida as well as into the Caribbean.

Key accountabilities

The picker/order selector is responsible for accurately and efficiently locating, retrieving, and preparing meat products from warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Products will be selected from both Cooler and Freezer warehouse inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Order fulfillment: read and comprehend pick tickets
  • Material Handling: manually pull products from shelves and operate warehouse equipment, such as an electric pallet jack.
  • Packing and Staging: in an organized fashion, secure orders onto pallets.
  • Pack items for shipment
  • Inspect items for quality and damage, quantities, and other details to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Must have 1 year of warehouse experience
  • The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb
  • Able to lift 80 pounds frequently throughout the shift
  • Must have 1 year of experience operating an electric pallet jack
  • Stand-up forklift - reach truck experience
  • Ability to work in a Freezer/cooler temperature
  • Strict attention to detail
