About The Opportunity: General Manager

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on General Manager to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment. In this role, you will drive store performance through strong leadership, operational excellence, and a commitment to results. This role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting daily operations, overseeing merchandising and inventory, coaching team members, and ensuring high standards on the sales. What You'll Do

  • Foster a positive, engaging workplace culture.
  • Lead by example through coaching, mentoring, and developing the team.
  • Set short- and long-term priorities with the Management Team, Area Manager, and Director.
  • Delegate tasks and establish daily priorities.
  • Develop succession plans and career development pathways.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and address performance concerns.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Address employee relations issues professionally and implement corrective action when required.
  • Execute product launches and merchandising initiatives.
  • Leverage local market trends to drive sales.
  • Achieve financial goals through effective labour, inventory, and expense management.
  • Meet or exceed sales and profitability targets.
  • Monitor sales metrics and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Verify financial documents for accuracy.
  • Manage labour scheduling to align with sales trends and payroll budgets.
  • Complete daily operational responsibilities and Manager-on-Duty requirements.
  • Plan and execute promotions, merchandising, and store events.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, receiving, and assortment planning.
  • Ensure timely processing of deliveries and completion of cycle counts and annual inventories.
  • Support all aspects of store operations, sales, health & safety, and loss prevention.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years in retail management environment
  • Proserve certified or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, labour, and KPIs
  • Minimum age requirement based on province (18/19+)
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Management or a related field (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of cannabis regulations or experience in a regulated retail environment
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between store locations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
