As a newly independent, Private Equity-backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.

The Maintenance Planning & Contractor Manager is responsible for leading the maintenance planning and scheduling function within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role ensures all maintenance work is properly prioritized, scoped, planned, resourced, and executed efficiently to maximize equipment reliability and safety compliance. Works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Contractors to optimize work execution and drive continuous improvement.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Lead development of detailed job plans for corrective, preventive (PM), and predictive maintenance work.
  • Ensure work orders include scope, labor hours, materials, tools, and safety requirements.
  • Develop and manage weekly and daily maintenance schedules.
  • Manage maintenance backlog and prioritize based on safety, quality, production needs
  • Lead turnaround and outage planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards including LOTO and permit systems.
  • Track KPIs such as schedule compliance, PM completion, and downtime.
  • Lead and develop planners and schedulers.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Procurement.
What You Bring Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of maintenance planning experience in industrial or chemical plant environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP or similar CMMS systems.
Preferred
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting tools experience.
  • Knowledge of reliability practices (RCA).
  • Familiarity with OSHA and process safety standards.
