Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and impact-driven Senior Product Manager to play a key role in the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of Graykey. Graykey is one of our most strategic and differentiated product lines that sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and digital forensic workflows. Reporting to the Director, Product Management, this role is responsible for translating customer and business needs into a clear product vision and executable plans, while partnering closely with Software Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Hardware, and Customer Success.


This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in highly complex, mission-critical
environments and is comfortable navigating tightly coupled hardware/software systems, evolving platform integrations, and customer-driven innovation. You will act as a strong advocate for customer needs, balancing technical feasibility, scalability, cost, and time to market in partnership with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with engineering and design to build products that make a real difference in people’s lives by helping uncover the truth and protect the innocent; 
  • Collaborate on a highly visible product line with key business stakeholders
    including Executive Leadership, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Engineering to help shape the vision for the product;
  • Meet with Law Enforcement, Public Sector and Private Sector Leaders and
    customers in the Digital Forensics and Investigations domains to inform
    prioritization and product decisions; 
  • Support go-to-market activities including positioning, pricing, launch readiness, and sales enablement;
  • Drive product integration efforts across Magnet Forensics’ ecosystem, ensuring Graykey delivers seamless value as part of a larger platform experience;

  • Become a subject-matter expert in mobile device acquisition, extraction workflows, and the Graykey product domain
Role Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Graykey product vision, strategy, and commercialization
    grounded in an extensive knowledge of our customers’ needs and competitors;
  • Fully understand market problems and use cases by gathering feedback from product stakeholders (i.e. Customers, Users, Internal Stakeholders) and observing market dynamics - always seeking to fully comprehend the core underlying pain or challenge;
  • Leverage deep business acumen to inform product decisions, ensuring Graykey investments maximize both customer impact and long term business value; 
  • Define clear customer and business outcomes, and be able to translate those into software deliverables and requirements, and drive them to delivery with cross-functional teams;
  • Contribute to long time portfolio and platform strategy where Graykey is a critical differentiator;
  • Travel: 20%.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Management role with significant ownership of complex products, ideally spanning software and hardware systems;
  • Demonstrated customer empathy – recognizing and caring genuinely about the motivations, challenges and frustrations of our customers and advocating for solutions to resolve them;
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills - comfortable with presenting to
    customers, executive level stakeholders and other internal audiences;
  • Strong collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence at all levels and create trust and strong relationships;
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a Technology Related Program, or
    equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience working on hardware products, particularly those tightly integrated with software
  • Prior experience in the Digital Forensics industry, Cybersecurity, or Law
    Enforcement.
Compensation & Benefits 

The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you.  If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (i.e. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
