The People team sits at the heart of Warner Music Group and is focused on attracting, retaining and developing exceptional people, enabling them to be the best they can be to drive Warner's continued success in the marketplace. The team designs, implements and facilitates People programs around Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Compensation and Benefits and People Experience and Solutions. Our team also partners with the business to support key organisational initiatives. We are passionate about what we do, always striving for better, willing to go the extra mile and happy to roll up our sleeves to support our colleagues.

In Canada, our frontline teams for Recorded Music and Publishing, sit alongside Central teams (like Finance, Operations etc) and a large number of remotely based Technology employees in global roles. Our People function in Canada provides both local people partnering support and manages HR service delivery for the geography overall.

Your role:

Our People team is evolving - we are looking for an experienced HR operator who can deliver end-to-end people services across our Canadian businesses. You'll exercise strong stakeholder management skills, reporting functionally to the Global People team but also serving local and remote leaders and managers with oversight of teams based in Canada. You're curious; your influence will yield great ideas and pragmatic ways to deliver our people agenda. You'll have a sharp focus on driving initiatives and realizing business and People team goals.

Here you'll get to:

  • Deliver a consistently high HR services from hire to retire
  • Be data-driven, using insight to identify trends and inform decisions
  • Understand business' models, goals, vision and culture in defining and executing on people and culture priorities
  • Deliver local talent, learning and development initiatives
  • Ensure local ERGs are supported and connected to leadership
  • Partner with global people team members to manage matrixed complexities relating to global teams with Canadian based resources, keeping stakeholders appraised and engaged
  • Develop organisation plans and models to support objectives and advance the business and its functions
  • Collaborate with Global People team centers of excellence to successfully deliver programs, initiatives and cycles
  • Coach leaders to drive change management, talent, engagement, culture, mobility and communication approaches with their teams
  • Partner closely with the Director of Financeto ensure people plans align with financial plans and headcount is accurately reported
  • Deliver projects to support simplification and consolidation of services (e.g. payroll transition, benefits management)
  • Manage ER cases and deliver organisational changes (reorganisations, new operating models, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures etc.)
  • Manage local brokers and benefit providers and adhere to WMG compensation standards
  • Deliver end to end people operations spanning policy, compliance, Workday maintenance and reporting, onboarding and offboarding, talent acquisition, payroll etc.

  • Your background has reflected a range of HR skills and experiences spanning: Employee Relations, Employment Law, Recruiting, Talent & Development, Org. Development, People Tech, Compensation and Benefits etc.
  • You thrive on delivering and building relationships in person and virtually.
