Job description

Talent Development Specialist
Hoehn Plastics, Inc. is seeking a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Talent Development Specialist to support training and development initiatives across our organization.
The Talent Development Specialist helps turn established Company policies, procedures, work instructions, standards, and departmental requirements into effective training that strengthens team member knowledge, competency, performance, and professional development.
Working collaboratively with Human Resources, Safety, Operations, Department Leadership, and Subject Matter Trainers, this position develops training resources, coordinates and facilitates assigned training, supports competency verification, monitors training completion and effectiveness, and helps identify opportunities to continuously improve Company training practices.
This position serves as a training development and implementation resource. Requirements related to Human Resources, Safety, Operations, Quality, regulatory compliance, or other functional areas remain under the authority of the applicable Company function.
Position Details

Full-Time | First Shift
Monday - Friday
7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Overtime as Needed

Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour
Performance-based pay reviews at 90 days and annually
What You’ll Do
  • Develop and update training materials, presentations, guides, assessments, and other learning resources based on established Company requirements. 
  • Coordinate training schedules, resources, instructors, participants, and training activities across departments. 
  • Facilitate assigned onboarding, compliance, technical, operational, leadership, and professional development training. 
  • Partner with applicable Functional Owners and Subject Matter Trainers to ensure training accurately reflects approved requirements and processes. 
  • Support competency verification and help maintain consistent training and qualification practices. 
  • Maintain training records, completion data, competency documentation, training matrices, and related information. 
  • Monitor training completion, participation, and effectiveness and follow up on identified training needs. 
  • Gather feedback and evaluate training outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Assist departments with developing and implementing approved training initiatives. 
  • Support Company-wide learning, development, engagement, and continuous improvement efforts. 
  • Perform other training and development activities consistent with the needs of the organization.

  • Experience in training, instructional design, employee development, education, facilitation, or a related area is preferred. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to work with team members at different levels of the organization. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. 
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Ability to learn Company processes, procedures, systems, and operational requirements. 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous-improvement mindset. 
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Social Media & Company Engagement

The Talent Development Specialist also coordinates assigned Company social media activities supporting culture, team member engagement and recognition, recruitment, community presence, and organizational communications. Social media content and activities are completed in accordance with established Company branding, policies, and management direction.
Work Environment

This position works across office, training, and manufacturing environments and may require regular interaction with team members throughout Company facilities. The Talent Development Specialist must be comfortable entering production and operational areas as necessary to observe processes, coordinate training, and support training activities. Applicable safety requirements and personal protective equipment (PPE) must be followed when working in designated areas.
