Labor & Delivery Nursing Team Member

Location: Anacortes, WA, Onsite

Schedule: 0.75 FTE/ Day Shift

Salary Range: $37.64 โ€“ $71.35 per hour

Differentials:

  • Night: +$4.75/hr
  • Weekend: +$4.00/hr
  • BSN Premium: +$1.00/hr
  • Certification Premium: +$1.00/hr

We're looking for an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join our compassionate team providing expert care to mothers, newborns, and families through one of life's most meaningful experiences.

In this per diem, variable shift role, you'll enjoy flexibility while supporting our commitment to safe, family-centered, and evidence-based maternity care.

What you will be doing:

  • Assumes all responsibilities of a labor, delivery, postpartum, nursery nurse by providing direct patient care to patients from infancy through adults.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing standards.
  • Utilizes 5 step nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide service needed for patient care.
  • Participates in communication and problem solving with patient/significant other, health team members and their departments.
  • Assesses knowledge level of patient/significant other, participates with patient/significant other in goal development to meet needs. Develops teaching plan and evaluates outcome.
  • Documents appropriate components of the nursing process according to established standards.
  • Assesses own learning needs and establishes priorities and develops action plan.
  • Enters patient data into computer.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Washington State RN license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent experience in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
  • Understands and supports principles of case management.
