We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with the Knowledge Management skills to bridge the gap between raw quantitative data and structured organizational intelligence. As the data scientist, you build analytical models, pipelines, and statistical proofs. Because our mission heavily involves collaboration with multinational allies, a core responsibility will be translating complex IT, engineering, and operational concepts into crystal-clear documentation that may be tailored for English as a Second Language (ESL) audiences. This role also includes coordination and execution support for International Science & Technology (S&T) Engagement initiatives, to include the Pacific Operational Science and Technology (POST) Conference, Joint International Experimentation (JIE), and other innovation/S&T workshops. Specific duties for this position include: Duties include: * This position provides knowledge management, data science analytics, and technical / administrative support to US PACOM J85 Science & Technology (S&T) Division. This position manages, organizes, designs, and disseminates information across classified and unclassified networks, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Intel Link, APAN, SIPRNET, NIPRNET, KERNOS and emerging collaboration platforms * Knowledge Management Ecosystem Architecture: Conceptualize & build, robust Teams and SharePoint structures (sites, libraries, lists, and workflows) to optimize information flow, searchability, and retention across the enterprise * Design predictive models, tests hypotheses, and analyze historical trend lines to forecast operational constraints, failures, or resource demands * Gather "Lessons Learned" from post-operation reports, surveys, and exit interviews, identifying the qualitative "why" behind past successes or failures * Analyze large, unstructured datasets (such as system logs, documents, or communications) to extract common terms, relationships, and entities * As the Data Scientist you will build, maintain, and update automated data pipelines, analytical models, and visual dashboards using tools like Python, R, SQL, and enterprise visualization suites. As the Knowledge Manager you will translate user requirements to ensure the dashboard's user experience aligns with how the staff actually makes decisions. You will also author documentation explaining how to interpret the data * Manage MS Teams and SharePoint site permissions and maintain them through KM standard operating procedures (SOPs). Attend US PACOM Knowledge Management Working Groups to disseminate command KM requirements and way-forward education. Provide Knowledge Management guidance throughout division. Stay current best practices within the M365 environment as the landscape evolves and changes * International Audience Localization: Apply Controlled English or simplified writing frameworks to strip away dense jargon, regional idioms, and overly complex syntax, ensuring documentation is effortlessly understood by foreign partners. * Build and maintain knowledge bases in SharePoint or other Content Management Systems * Build and maintain document management processes and procedures, design and implement work-flows to manage documentation processes * Assess knowledge levels and lead development and execution of knowledge management training for our team * Seek opportunities to develop and incorporate new efficiencies, procedures, and metrics to capture, track, and report project performance. * Maintain data, information, and reporting components for project functional areas and work cross-functionally with internal teams for maximum efficiency and accuracy in documentation content * Create training material in support of the Knowledge management process * SharePoint administration for site management, list creation, workflow creation/modification and document management and permissions * Continuously improve knowledge-sharing processes based on feedback and agency needs * Provide administrative and operational support for International S&T initiatives, to include Pacific Operational Science & Technology Conference (POST)and other innovation and S&T workshops * Use the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) to review, delegate, and track J85 division actions, ensuring strict adherence to military protocols and timely delivery * Analyze program data and inter-relationships, coordinate accurate and concise program plans & proposals and be able to prepare point, position, and decision papers in support of J85 * Plan, prepare and organize meetings (in-person and virtual) and facilitate communications among stakeholders at multiple classification levels and via various mediums (i.e., SVTC, MPE, VOIP) and to provide information, training, and operational support to the J85 Science & Technology Science Advisor, Deputy, and to the Division Here at Amentum, we believe in fostering a sense of belonging. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Knowledge Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field. Or, 10 years equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience in a related field . * Eight (8) years of experience in data science and building analytical models, pipelines and statistical proofs. * At least four (4) years of experience of knowledge / content management or Information Governance experience, preferably within the Department of War (DoW), federal, or multi-national environment. * MS Teams/SharePoint Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online /M365, including site permissions, content types, metadata tagging, PowerAutomate & Flows, and document management strategies. * Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills and ability to operate in a high-pressure environment while responding to and responding to dynamic requirements while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. * Exceptional written and oral communication skills, to prepare and present findings, recommendations and original ideas or concepts. * Demonstrated ability to work independently under general direction in a fast-paced environment, and within a team environment. * Proficiency in MS Office collaboration tools (Sharepoint, MS Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Planner). * Knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in support of government client objectives (e.g. *GPT, GenAI, AskSage, MAVEN, python, etc.). * Must have an active Secret Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Preferred Requirements: * Master's degree from an accredited college or university. * 10+ years experience in data science and modeling, testing hypotheses and analyzing historical trend lines to forecast operational constraints, equipment failures or resource demands * Certifications such as Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) or AIIM Certified Information Professional (CIP) * At least six (6) years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), including at least four (4) years of experience in military information system administration and Information governance. * Extensive familiarity with Joint Services Correspondence requirements, have experience or knowledge of organizations, functions and operations of the activity serviced, US PACOM, higher echelon commands and the relationships with other federal activities and private industry. * At least 3 years' experience working in the Pacific region; and experience in operational or strategic levels of DoW planning and/or administrative support. * Active Top-Secret Clearance and be SCI eligibl
