Job description

Position Summary:

The Assistant Operations Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the distribution of goods and services to both Threaded Fastener's branches and its customers. This position involves directly managing material handlers and department leads, ensuring the efficient packaging and distribution of finished products. Furthermore, the Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations for both workers and facilities. Additionally, this role collaborates closely with the receiving and shipping teams to guarantee timely delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Warehouse and Office
  • Review reporting from receiving and shipping
  • Analyze processes for improvements
  • Ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain OSHA compliance
  • Distribute workloads to leads and managers
  • Host morning huddles, Operations, and Safety Meetings
  • Approves weekly time and attendance in iSolved.
  • Evaluate lead time and assist in project planning
  • Organize and manage outbound company transfers
  • Work directly with the Operations Manager for all daily tasks.

Education and Experience Required:

  • HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three years in a Distribution Warehouse Management or Supervisory position

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field is a plus
  • Proven experience supervising others in a distribution or industrial setting.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Adobe, and data entry.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations is a plus.
