Job Description:

We are seeking a strong IT governance leader to provide oversight across multiple departments and ensure all IT project requests comply with internal governance frameworks, security standards, and regulatory requirements. This role will serve as a liaison between business units and IT, facilitating governance reviews, policy management, and project intake processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and maintain IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and enterprise standards.
  • Support IT governance committees by preparing materials, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Ensure all project requests comply with IT governance frameworks, enterprise architecture standards, and technology policies.
  • Escalate and document suspected policy violations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collect, analyze, and report IT quality metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare written communications, governance summaries, and compliance reports for leadership review.
  • Support documentation of funding justifications, risk assessments, and policy compliance for project intake packages.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Operations Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • 3+ years of experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining IT policies and procedures.
  • 3+ years facilitating communication and training related to IT policy and compliance protocols.
  • 3+ years escalating and documenting policy violations.
  • Solid understanding of IT governance frameworks, SDLC, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze documentation for compliance with statutes and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with project management and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Experience working within public sector or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as NIST, HITRUST, or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Experience negotiating contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage shifting priorities.
  • Strong GRC experience with hands-on compliance activity execution.
