Key responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize paid search campaigns, including auditing, building, and managing Google Ads across multiple brands and properties

  • Plan, execute, and produce creative assets for email, SMS, digital, and print campaigns using AI-assisted design tools

  • Own and manage relationships with publisher and local media partners, including budgeting, tracking, and reporting for advertising placements

Job description

ABOUT LOCALVR
LocalVR is a luxury short-term rental and boutique hospitality management company operating across premier mountain and resort destinations - including Breckenridge, Vail, Telluride, Park City, Lake Tahoe, and Big Sky - with a growing portfolio of boutique hotel properties with their own brand. We're building a best-in-class guest experience powered by our own proprietary technology platform, and we're looking for a hands-on, AI-forward marketer to own digital acquisition and brand visibility across our portfolio.
THE ROLE
We're hiring a one-person marketing engine to drive direct bookings, own our paid and organic growth channels, produce the creative that powers them, and manage our presence across OTAs and local media. You'll work across multiple sub-brands - LocalVR corporate, our Luxe property collection, and individual boutique hotel brands - balancing performance marketing fundamentals with a willingness to experiment with new channels and tools. This role reports directly to our COO and will collaborate closely with our social marketer and product team.
This is a great fit for someone who wants ownership and autonomy, is comfortable managing multiple brands and markets at once, can design as well as analyze, and is genuinely excited about using AI tools to drive impact.
GOALS YOU'LL OWN
  • Drive direct booking conversion across the LocalVR brand and boutique hotel sub-brands
  • Grow and manage SEO rankings for multiple direct domains and with third-party OTAs
  • Make every advertising dollar accountable - tracked, attributed, and reported across every channel and market
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Paid Search: Audit, optimize, and manage existing Google Ads campaigns; build new campaigns across LocalVR brand, Luxe properties, and individual boutique hotel brands
  • Owned Channels: Plan and execute email and SMS campaigns for VIP subscribers and past guests
  • Creative & Digital Asset Production: Create the assets behind the campaigns - graphics, reusable templates, and layouts for organic email, plus creative for digital and print advertising. We expect you to produce this in-house using AI-assisted design tools such as Claude Design, and to build and maintain an organized, reusable asset library across brands and markets
  • Publisher & Local Media Partnerships: Own our direct-buy advertising relationships end to end. Today that means Comparent.com (industry site); we're actively evaluating local publications such as the Summit Daily. You'll manage the relationships, own the budget and pacing, stand up tracking and reporting for each placement, and make the call on where the spend earns its keep
  • Event-Based Marketing: Own event- and contest-driven campaigns end to end, starting with our Best Of contests in each market - planning, promotion, participant and guest engagement, and post-campaign reporting
  • Channel Expansion: Identify and test additional paid channels beyond Google (e.g., Meta, programmatic, metasearch)
  • OTA & Marketplace Management: Manage third-party OTA marketing and partnerships, with a focus on improving visibility and ranking on Google Hotels, Airbnb, VRBO, and similar platforms
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our social marketer to align paid, organic, and content strategy
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and report on overall marketing spend across all channels, including publisher and local media commitments
  • Ensure tracking, attribution, and reporting are in place for every placement and channel before spend scales
  • Deliver weekly performance reporting and ongoing campaign monitoring
  • Build and execute campaigns end-to-end, from strategy and creative through launch
  • Produce campaign creative in-house and maintain brand consistency across LocalVR, Luxe, and boutique hotel sub-brands
  • Operate as an AI-forward, one-person team - using our existing tech stack efficiently, extending it where useful, and building net-new tools/capabilities where gaps exist
TECH STACK
  • Google Analytics
  • PostHog (product analytics)
  • LocalOS Marketing app (our proprietary internal platform for marketing campaigns)
  • Claude Design (AI-assisted design and asset creation)
  • Google Ads, plus whatever additional platforms you bring or recommend
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Proven track record managing and optimizing Paid Ad (emphasis on Google) campaigns, ideally across multiple brands/properties
  • SEO experience, including technical and content-driven ranking improvement
  • Hands-on design capability - able to produce email graphics, ad creative, and print-ready assets yourself, whether through AI-assisted tools like Claude Design or traditional tools like Figma, Canva, or Adobe CC
  • Experience managing publisher, trade, or local media buys - and holding those partners accountable to measurable performance
  • Comfortable with email/SMS marketing platforms and OTA/channel management (Airbnb, VRBO, Google Hotels)
  • Experience running event-, promotion-, or contest-based campaigns is a plus
  • Fluent with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT) as part of daily workflow - able to move faster and cover more ground than a traditional single marketer. Bonus points for candidates who have used AI tools to build their own mini apps, dashboards, or automations
  • Experience in hospitality, travel, or short-term rental marketing a strong plus
  • Self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to build systems rather than just execute a fixed playbook

The pay range for this role is:
80,000 - 120,000 USD per year (HQ (Denver))
