Responsibilities
Nephrology - Dialysis Center Opportunity

Franciscan Medical Group opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join a busy Nephrology group in the Tacoma Metro Area. The position comprises seeing patients at greater Tacoma area dialysis units (Davita, Fresenius, Northwest Kidney Center).

The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical management of patients, patient education, follow up, interpretation of diagnostics, medication management, and responding to patient questions on a variety of medical issues. This opportunity is full time. All patient care locations have a full electronic health record system (EPIC and dialysis unit EMR's).

Pay range: $60- $77/hour depending on experience

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Dialysis experience required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current Washington State ARNP license
  • Candidates must have 1+ year of post training experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Nephrology related experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience with EPIC a plus
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, dialysis unit staff, patients and their families
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
